    We are looking for a technical artist with experience in UE4 and Maya to join a small internal team focused on game port projects. Our ideal candidate is a visually-minded, out of the box thinker with technical knowledge of game effects and 3D modeling. We are looking for someone who shares our team’s excitement and commitment to making games that both look and run great.

    Your main responsibility will be making sure our game ports run well on a variety of platforms by ensuring art assets are optimized. You will be working with meshes, textures, particles, materials, animations, and everything in between. A deep understanding of UE4 effects workflows will be important for improving performance of materials and particles.You will also be using Maya to author mesh LODs and improve UVs. If you love tackling game effects holistically and working across the spectrum of game art, this role is for you.

    Beyond a core understanding of UE4 game effects and 3D modeling, we are looking for a team player who shares our excitement for learning, researching new techniques, wearing multiple hats and stepping outside of regular workflows to innovate and make things happen. You will be working closely with game designers, programmers, and other artists to complete tasks of all kinds. An engaged and collaborative mindset will be crucial as you help us find solutions to unforeseen challenges requiring cross disciplinary teamwork that we discover as we bring these projects to life.


    • Ensure game art assets run and look great on a variety of platforms
    • Optimize materials and particle effects in UE4
    • Optimize 3D meshes using Maya
    • Create UI textures for specific platforms


    • Deep understanding of UE4 materials/FX workflows
    • Experience with 3D modeling and UVs in Maya
    • Familiarity with common game effect tricks such as scrolling UVs, vertex color masks, channel-packed textures, etc.
    • Experience with common artist tools such as Photoshop


    • Experience with Python scripting
