Giant Squid is looking for a QA tester who is a gifted organizer and passionate about games. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our entire team has clear and current visibility regarding the state of the build throughout development. You will be testing our current game Sword of the Sea every day, looking for bugs and potential issues as changes come in. Communicating with the team to ensure that they know everything they need to implement fixes is a critical aspect of the role. A persistent, patient, and proactive mindset will be crucial as you help us achieve a high level of quality. Our ideal candidate will have prior QA experience, but we are also considering passionate and talented newcomers. All are encouraged to apply.

Logging tickets in our bug database and keeping it up to date will be a central way that our QA Tester will keep the team informed. We will rely on you to enter clearly written bug reports that include concise reproduction steps, screen captures, and video captures, when applicable. When issues get addressed, we will look to you for help updating tickets and keeping the database clean and current. You will also be communicating directly with game designers, programmers, artists, and producers to ensure bugs get squashed.
